The Best Day

I am a huge George Strait fan. He has a song entitled, "The Best Day". It is a good one, you should listen to it. Before I met Justin Taylor and became the Farm Fiancee, I thought High School Graduation was the best day of my life. Then I thought graduating from the Kansas State University was the best day of my life. But our wedding day was The Best Day of my life! The day I had Cory Taylor was another best day of my life. The day I had Laney Taylor was another best day of my life. I have had so many Best Days of my life. I am sure there are more to come. While thinking on "The Best Day", I also know that the day I asked Jesus to live in my heart is actually The Best Day of my life!

The In Laws

Most people have a negative connotation with the word in laws. However, I am so blessed. My connotation is anything but negative. I have not told my future mother in law or my future father in law that I love them, but when talking to my roommates my exact words are..."I just love them." I have thanked them a couple of times for raising an amazing son. But I love them for more than that. I love the fact that they call just to chat. I love the fact that they tell me stories and encourage me on this path I am taking. I love that they are an example that Justin and I can look up.

So here is to today. My future mother in law and I are going to register and then go shopping for her dress:)

This week my students had the assignment to write a list of items they would want at our Valentine's party next week. After reading their assignments, I decided they should be my wedding planners!

In their spelling...
1. Decrashens
2. love
3. People
4. friendship
5. food
6. driencks
7. cake
8. ice creme
9. pin the tail on the hart
10. candy
11. having fun
12. giving cards
13. getting cards
14. being with frends
15. having a party

Wouldn't they do great, all of my favorite things!!

Why Farm Fiancee?

I used to be the single girl wishing for a Marlboro Man like Pioneer Women. Due to a divine meeting it happened, he's my Farm Fiance and I am his Farm Fiancee. October 17th, 2010 was our first date. A Southeast Kansas girl who bleeds purple and now lives in Wichita. An almost Northwest, Northcentral, Kansas kid who farms and ranches his heart out. I am eating my words: I said I would never move west of Salina or date an oldest child again. Here I am girls, doing both. Funny the things God plans...
